This post is mostly just some marketing observations that I've had recently, and I wanted to share. I've just finished building and publishing my art Gallery. The Memory Interval. Some of the best advice given to students is also the most annoying. It is the advice which changes our habits, and is therefore uncomfortable. It often doesn't "feel right", when we suddenly change how we have been drawing for years. This piece of dreaded but useful advice is to look at the subject for the same amount of time you look at your drawing. Switch back and forth quickly. When we draw we look at the subject, observe some aspect of its appearance, and try to represent that on paper. We can't get a likeness a fairly close to that of the subject without looking at it.
